Industrial Cyclones

FASAM specializes in cyclone separators, gas cyclone and hydrocyclone, for particulate transported by a gas or liquid. The company, through many years research, physical lab testing and field test data gathering, has developed its own proprietary cyclone geometries and design tools. Our engineers will offer the most suitable cyclone type and arrangement depending on your efficiency requirements, space limitations and cost. FASAM provides cyclones with tangential inlet (reverse-flow type) and axial cyclone with Swirl Vanes for different industries. Cyclones are available in carbon steel, stainless steel or high alloy construction. Refractory and/or ceramic lined units are also available for abrasive/high temperature applications.

FASAM, in particular, design and fabricate Cyclones for Chemical Industries, Ethylene and Polymers plants for removing solid particles from various fluids: gases or liquids.

Cyclones have a very wide range of applications and below is a list of few for example:

  • Air Pollution Control
  • Grain Processing
  • Pharmaceutical
  • Catalyst fines Recovery
  • Incineration Plants
  • Pulp & Paper
  • Cement Plants
  • Iron & Steel Processing
  • Pyrolisis, Incineration and Gasification
  • Chemical Plants
  • Lime Processing
  • Sand Plants
  • Coking Plants
  • Odor Control & VOC’s Removal
  • Sewage Treatment
  • Fluid Catalytic Cracking (FCC)
  • Petrochemical Plants
  • Wood Products

Decoking Gas Cyclones

Decoking cyclones are usually used in olefin and ethylene plants to reduce emission of coke particles to atmosphere during decoking cycles of cracking furnaces.  Depending on country environmental regulation, maximum emission limit varies from 50 to 20 mg/Nm3.

Hydrocyclones

One of the applications of hydrocyclone is coke particles removal from quench water or quench oil in ethylene plants which is produced undesirably together with ethylene and propylene in the cracking furnace.
